I live in a vortex of time. That’s what happens when you get used to working until three in the morning (Friday night) and taking four hour naps (this afternoon) and have a “straight-up Russian” roommate (Andy’s term for Alina) who vacuums and makes omelettes at 1 a.m.
Seriously, somebody punch me in the face. I would really like that right now, provided it knocks my jaw back into place. It’s out of whack because I’ve been sick for the past few days and have taking to gnawing on ice chips and while my stomach appreciated it, my jaw is staging a revolt and now the only thing I can eat is yogurt (or “soygurt” as the case may be). So punching me is really the only option. Plus it has the added benefit of maybe knocking me out so I can get some sleep tonight and will wake up in time for class, unlike this morning when I woke up at 9:39 and had a 9:40 class. I made it (sans-bra, that was interesting), but I would like to avoid repeating the experience.
I don’t know quite where to begin with this past week, so I’ll just cover the highs and the lows. Except the bad news is very bad, and I’m not quite sure how to say it, so I’m going to skip it. I’m fine, just sad and confused about some things.
So I’ll move on to the good news: I’m going to see Aerosmith in December! Andy bought our tickets and we’re sitting like in the nosebleeds or something, but I don’t care. As my mom said, “It’s not like you won’t be able to hear them.” I admit I’m going to be impossible to live with for the next…ever…but cut me a break. This is Huge News. The next most exciting thing I did this week was probably watching four episodes of Quantum Leap today, so you can see why Aerosmith takes the cake by a long shot.
