Sunday night = Awake until 4 a.m. (pumped full of caffeine, working on paper)
Monday night = Awake until 4 a.m. (slugging my way through the rest of the paper)
Tuesday night = Awake until, you guessed it, 4 a.m…but this time with no decent excuse. And because I can’t function on less than 7 hours of sleep, I slept through my work meeting this morning and was almost late for my 11:20 — how pathetic is that?
Two reasons for last night’s awakeness: 1) Andy and 2) that damn whiteboard…Andy came over, wanted a Cherry Coke, and because I am a sheep I decided I needed one too. At like 9:00 at night. Perfect. As for the whiteboard…it sits just inside the door of my building and I walk past it every day, and it always tells me happy things like “Today is don’t wear socks day” or “Happy Columbus day” or something to that notion. And yesterday…yesterday was “Evaluate your life day!”
Well. As Jenna can tell you, I periodically plan out my life only to change it the next day. And as pretty much all of you know, I’ve been debating between English and Comm, Comm and English (Finkle and Einhorn) for a billion years or so now. So, at the advice of the whiteboard and severely under the influence of caffeine, at 2 a.m. I began Rachel’s Life Plan, Version 856a. And it goes a little something like this…
Double major in Comm and English (because I am crap with decisions and can’t pick between them) with a Spanish minor plus my honors requirement. Crazy, but it just might work. I have no room for any more art classes or anything fun ever again…but I’m saving that for Version 856b….
And because I’m serious about having a life plan, I’m going to go sign up for a time to meet with my advisor, whose name I can’t remember…
