Stranded in the SJU Computer Lab…(to be sung to the tune of “Alpha Beta Parking Lot” by Cake)

I really desperately want something exciting to happen to me so as to create a reason for an update.  I’ve waited a month, I’ve searched for something of interest…nothing.  So I thought about lying, but that would take too much mental effort, and I’m not into that sort of thing.  So here’s the truth, or what I remember of it.

I still work at the tech shop, and I’m still pretty incompetent.  I managed to break three drill bits in about two weeks.  The third was yesterday, immediately after which my task was to drive to the hardware store and buy more.  I came back really sheepish and was demoted from using the screw gun to holding a light while Kat vacuumed out underneath the stage.  This meant more dust in my lungs (remember last year?  I already had another bad experience this year) and I’m having trouble talking today because of it.  Awesome.  I finally caught up on all my sports work yesterday, or so I thought.  Turns out I’m always about two steps behind…

My roommates all think I’m nuts because…I am.  Such is life.  Yesterday we went to the caf and I demonstrated my amazing inability to hold a train of thought for two consecutive minutes.  Last night I watched the movie (notice the odd jump in conversation?  that’s me for you) “A Life Less Ordinary,” which I bought last week at Last Stop.  I’d never seen it before (hey, it was only four bucks) and it turned out to be really good.  Last Stop is my favorite store in the world, and I used Lacy’s birthday as an excuse to go there again…I also bought “The Story of Us” and “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” (still on the lookout for “Bogus Journey”) and, because I’m an amazing friend (well, if I don’t say it no one else will and then where would my ego be?), I bought “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” (80s British TV show version) for Andy.  I know, you just wish I was your friend so I’d buy you cool crap like that.  Play your cards right and I may even buy you ice cream at two in the morning.

I went to bed at midnight last night.  Midnight.  That’s HUGE, and by huge I mean early.  Ten consecutive hours of sleep = pure amazingness.  Then it was up and at ’em for Art 101 with the sex-obsessed monk who doesn’t remember anyone’s name and only calls on Sabrina and whoever happens to be sitting near her.  I sit by her everyday and get called on to answer questions that make no sense because I’m about three weeks behind in the reading (oops).  Everyday after that Sabrina and I go to lunch with her roommates Jenni and Heather and friend Luke (Krista, if you’re reading this, we’re all wondering if you are alive…) and talk about the sex-obsessed monk and other non-lunch-appropriate things that clear out the tables around us in a hurry.  Then I come here to the comp lab, presumably to do homework, before my 2:40 film studies class…

What’s that?  It’s time for class and I haven’t done any homework?  Oops…
