What better way to continue a good mood than to visit a 103 year old retired Priest?  So that’s what Krista and I did.  We got a bit lost in the Quad first because that building is the labyrinth, but we finally found the retirement center…as Father Angelo was eating…so we wandered Tommy for a while and then back to Father Angelo who, by the way, neither of us knew.  He’s a cute little old man with a bit of a problem with memory, but we kind of expected as much.  He showed us a chalise he designed and passed it to Krista, who passed it to me, who passed it back to Angelo, who described it again and passed it to Krista, who passed it to me, who passed it back to Angelo.  Repeat cycle three or four times.  I think my two favorite comments were definitely, “I was ordained in 1901,” (I’m guessing that’s the year he was born), and “I think I’m 60 now.  I don’t expect to live to be 100.”  I just wanted to shout out “Surprise!  You win!”
